Basics of a Ghost Hunting Pack
In this part of the article series Ghost Hunting Tips, I will discuss a basic “Ghost Pack” or equipment checklist. Every Ghost Hunter must be prepared not only for the actual investigation, but also emergency situation. Being prepared could save you both time and may even save your life. All Ghost Hunting equipment bags should include an emergency pack that should include the following items:
First Aid Kit
Emergency Number List including contact information, for family, friends, the local authorities, and hospitals.
Emergency Cell Phone if no one in the group has one. Tip: Prepaid phones work good for this purpose. Not only are they inexpensive, most of them seem to work everywhere there is Cell phone service service in the area.
Extra Clothing
Extra Batteries

Every “Ghost Pack” must always include the basic emergency equipment. During investigations, sometimes your surroundings may at times be dangerous. You never know when you may fall, get cut, or get trapped by debris. Always keep your emergency equipment close or with in easy reach of you at all times.
The Rest of the “Ghost Pack” Should include your common investigation equipment, which should include:
Voice Recorder-Basic Must Have

Notice I have said the Basic Must Have for voice recorders and a camera, those in my opinion are two of the most important types of equipment for any starting ghost hunter. If you have those two types of equipment than you are ready to investigate.Being organized will not only help your investigations go smoothly, but it will allow the ability for you to quickly locate any piece of equipment you may need during a investigation. To help ease the transition, start by making a check list of all the equipment and emergency equipment you may have. Always check this list before and after every investigation, so that you will not forget to bring anything or leave anything at the investigation site. Losing a piece of equipment is painful financially, especially if it is a high priced item.
Remember you should always include emergency equipment in your standard ghost hunting equipment pack.
