The Eye-Starring Jessica Alba
Unlike most remakes of foreign films, The Eye exceeded my expectations. Expecting a long, overused, and tiring plot, Jessica Alba’s performance in the film The Eye was outstanding. The movie flowed better than I thought it would, and the storyline seemed unique to me. Jessica playing the role of Sydney, a blind violinist is given a second chance to see again since childhood through a corneal transplant. As she adjusts to a dizzying new world of colors and shapes, she is haunted by frightening visions of death itself capturing the doomed and dragging them away from the world of the living. Terrorized and on the brink of insanity, Sydney must discover whose eyes she has inherited, and what secret visions they have held.
Through out the movie you are left to wonder, who and why she is haunted by these images. You will capture glimpses of who they belong to, but left wonder what the images mean until the end of the film.
The film can get creepy at times, specially if you have a good surround system attached to your entertainment center and at some points you may find yourself jumping from your chair, which is why we love horror and thriller movies.
If you are looking for a clean and family oriented spooky film that can give you a few chills, then Ghostlytrue.com recommends the purchase or rental of The EYE!!!
We Give it Two Thumbs Up!!!
